Twin Cities Nordic Ball 2025

Join us at the 46th Annual Twin Cities Nordic Ball to celebrate the rich heritage of Nordic folk music and dance!

The vibrant tradition of Nordic folk music and dance in the Twin Cities has been proudly preserved for generations. Throughout the year, opportunities abound to immerse yourself in these traditions, whether it's at events like Second Sunday at Tapestry Folkdance Center or TC Nordic at Thompson Hall, culminating in a gathering of community celebration for the 45th time in Minneapolis. It's never too late to join us! Take a look at the many musicians on the program below!

Many folks will celebrate and wear their heritage folk costumes from Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark, while others may opt for dazzling gowns and elegant ties. You are also welcome to come in whatever makes you feel good! Whether you're eager to dance every step or prefer to savor the live music and culinary delights, don't miss the chance to join in the Grand March and the spirited Långdans at the end of the night.

Food
This year we feature two Nordic vegetarian soups by professional chef, Jack Tauring-Traxler! A cold board of meats and chhese and aScandinaviandesert table top off the feast.
