Docent Group Resumes Tours of the Church! Join the St. Dominic's Docent Group for an exciting tour highlighting our stained glass windows.
Our first tour after the pandemic is scheduled for sunset on the evening of the Summer Solstice.
The light from the setting sun on this day illuminates the bright colors of the stained glass, bringing new life to the images. The tour will give parishioners an opportunity to see how the windows illuminate the sermon in glass culminating in the majestic Christ in Glory window above the Steiner Street entrance.
The windows in the clerestory of St. Dominic's Church are unified by the sermon of Father Arthur Laurence McMahon, OP “Jesus is the source of our salvation by the Redemption through the Church.”
