Twilight Serenade: a Christmas Piano Duo by award-winning young pianists

Sisters KLĖJA (14) and KAJA (15) KAŠUBAITĖS – the youngest Lithuanian pianists, made their debut in December 2023 at the Berlin Philharmonie and Berlin Konzerthaus. Since August 2022, they have been living in Berlin, Germany, where they study at the international Metropolitan School and are also pursuing studies at the University of the Arts Berlin (UdK) / Julius Stern Institute under professors Markus Groh and Sabine Simon. Additionally, they study remotely at the B. Dvarionas Music School in Vilnius.

The sisters quickly gained recognition in Berlin and are often invited to represent their university at prestigious charity events. Following a successful performance at the major German music competition Jugend musiziert, they received support from the Berlin Rotary "Luftbrücke" club and the Musikleben Foundation (Hamburg). In June 2024, they were awarded scholarships from this foundation. The sisters have received prizes from Steinway & Sons, Bechstein, and Yamaha companies. Invited by the German National Music Council, they performed at the Berlin Parliament. In 2023, they became scholarship recipients of the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation's LIVE MUSIC NOW program for a five-year period.

These young pianists have already accumulated extensive concert experience and have earned titles as laureates in numerous international competitions, both in solo and piano duo categories. They have won competitions in France, Italy, Austria, Germany, Costa Rica, Spain, the UK, the USA, Indonesia, the UAE, Russia, Hungary, Switzerland, Belgium, Turkey, Malta, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ukraine, Lithuania, Poland, Estonia, Latvia, and more. Their achievements include 14 Grand Prix awards and 75 first-place prizes in the solo piano category, as well as 11 Grand Prix awards and 25 first-place prizes in the piano duo category.

For winning first place at an international competition in the USA, the Kašubaitės sisters have been invited to perform at the prestigious Carnegie Hall in New York City on December 16, 2024.
