For nearly 40 years, TVO’s Saturday Night at the Movies, hosted by the beloved Elwy Yost, invited viewers into the magical world of cinema – from the silent era and Hollywood’s golden age to today’s brightest stars. For the Love of Movies draws directly from the TVO vault to reveal often never-before-seen interviews, including archival footage from cinematic legends like Tony Curtis, Jack Lemmon and Edith Head (the legendary designer who won more Academy Awards than any other woman in Oscar history), as well as Canadian comedy icons John Candy, Mike Myers and Catherine O'Hara.

Ahead of its broadcast premiere on March 28, join us for an evening of celebration and conversation around For the Love of Movies featuring a first-look screening of an episode, full series preview, and a candid Q&A with one of the series' creators and a special guest. Together, we'll explore the stories behind the films — and why TVO’s archives matter.
