Tutored Life Drawing - 10am-12pm (Masked) Topic: Gesture Part 2

Come along to a relaxed, tutored pose life drawing session for all abilities in our purpose built studio. There is a different topic each week covering a different aspect of life drawing.

Face masks are required to be worn for this session.

The session comprises of a short taught segment at the beginning lasting around 20 mins, followed by a series of exercises where we draw from the life model. The session is taught by tutor Lancelot Richardson. There will be a short break for hot drinks and biscuits in the middle of the session. Toilets are available in the building.

Facemasks are required for this session so do bring a facemask if you can. Free masks are available at the studio.

The topics of the sessions follow the same course as the Draw Brighton Patreon online life drawing course. This is a 34 week course written and filmed by Lance that acts as a full introduction to life drawing. Draw Patreon supporters of any level can access supplemental materials for these lessons, and are entitled to a discount on these sessions.

The studio is well equipped for artists, with easels and drawing boards available. Limited materials are on hand to use and paper is included with the cost of this session. You are welcome to bring your own art materials as well.

The session will be taught by life drawing tutor, Lancelot Richardson, who will be on hand to provide assistance with your drawing and give feedback through the session. This session is for artists of any ability – beginners welcome! Even though each week is a different topic, the sessions are drop in and you don't need to done all of them to benefit from dropping into any particular session.

It is a drop in session, meaning that you can book ahead here, or arrive on the day and pay by contactless.

When you arrive at the building, head to the front door next to the building manager's office. The doors are open, so come on in and head up to level 5 - the studio is on the South side of the building

There will be a short break for hot drinks and biscuits in the middle of the session. Toilets are available in the building.

The building has a wheelchair ramp, lifts and accessible toilets. Unfortunately, the building does not provide parking. If you have access needs, please get in touch so we can help you enjoy life classes.

Please do not attend this session if you have covid, flu, are otherwise infectious or showing similar symptoms such as coughing, sneezing, fever, etc. You will receive a refund as well as our appreciation! Just get in touch to let me know - you may also transfer the booking to another week if you prefer.

Mask wearing is required for this session. The studio has an industrial grade air filter and is well ventilated with high ceilings.
