Turning Towards the Heart

In sacred community we will join our hearts in breath, song, whirling, dance, poetry and prayer. This offering is open to all who are called to move in prayer, and those who seek to learn more about embracing dance and the movement of whirling to connect with the universe and our deepest self. The session will include, group prayer, breath work, movement rituals, whirling practices, sacred circle dances, singing and chanting. With intention that these experiences will help us to expand our hearts capacity and enter the place of unity with all creation.

Our upcoming workshop will feature live music with Rachel Valfer (vocals/oud) and Gary Haggerty (Oud, Saz) We will have a special focus on the Alevi Bektashi circle dances, also known as semah dances which are sacred dances aimed at aligning oneself with the divine, and coming together in sacred circle to send out blessings and healing to the world.
