Students will use the lathe to turn a wine glass stem and then attach it to the glass. Students will learn how to safely prepare and mount the wood blank on the lathe. Students will learn work holding techniques on the lathe and how to turn with carbide tools. Students will learn about various finishing options and will complete their wine glass stem with a food safe penetrating oil.
