ABOUT THE WORKSHOPS:

Ages 11+

Our free to attend workshops will be lead by Turn The Tables Founder Robbie Tolson.

During the workshops participants will learn how to use state of the art Pioneer DJ equipment and learn the basic techniques of DJing. We will provide headphones and a USB packed with all popular forms of music and be up to 2 hours long.

The workshops will take place on 'The Bridge' within Trinity Leeds Shopping centre.

ABOUT TURN THE TABLES:

Turn The Tables is on a mission to use music through DJing to combat against homelessness, poverty, mental ill health and crime. Founded by Robbie Tolson an award winning Scottish DJ turned social entrepeneur who founded Turn The Tables after the death of a friend.

In recovery Robbie volunteered at a homeless shelter, running DJ workshops for the shelter's residents. It wasn't long before the impact was clear and the residents, with Robbie's support, started to get booked for their own gigs. And the rest was history....

Since inception in 2018 Turn The Tables has worked within homelessness, mental health and criminal rehabilitation services in Scotland. With project alumni DJs going to represent Turn The Tables at a range of events, from leading music festivals, to corporate events for companies such as Red Bull and Diageo. As well as performing at the V&A and Saatchi Galleries and even for Prince William.

2025 is a big year for Turn The Tables we have partnered with Scottish DJ sensation Hannah Laing to build a community DJ studio in Dundee - doof Studios. As well as launch our most exciting project to date: Turn The Tables NYC. Where two homeless experienced DJs are traveling to NYC to perform a variety of DJ gigs and co host community DJ workshops across New York.

We are also taking part in a variety of pop workshops across the U.K as we explore the possiblity of spreading our impact nationwide.
