Gary Hughes

Author, photographer, educator, and father of four, Gary Hughes has spent the last two decades honing his skills in portrait photography. Along the way, he’s been honored with awards such as the Fujifilm Masterpiece, Kodak Gallery, and PPA National Awards—but he’ll be the first to say it’s not about awards. His focus lies in creating professional headshots and portraits that capture the unique essence of every subject.

Gary’s work has appeared in publications like Forbes, Fast Company, Rolling Stone, and Guitar World, but what he values most are the connections he builds through photography. A regular speaker at Imaging USA, WPPI, and other industry events, Gary enjoys sharing his knowledge and believes teaching is a two-way street.

For the past 17 years, he and his wife, Julie—his partner in life and business—have built a thriving professional headshot and portrait studio in Central Florida. Together, they create dynamic, authentic images for professionals, with one goal in mind: to empower people and help them grow their brands.
