Wooden ornaments are a great way to add rustic elegance to your holiday décor. This is a beginner-friendly lathe project that becomes charming gift or decorative piece to brighten up your holiday display.
You'll learn:
- How to prepare a wooden blank for turning
- How to develop a design for your snowman and translate it to the lathe
- How to shape your snowman with different types of lathe tools
- How to sand and finish your snowman
Prerequisites
or prior experience spindle turning on a wood lathe
Dress Code
- Full length pants and closed-toed shoes
- Hair ties for longer hair
- No dangling jewelry or loose clothing
What to Bring
- We recommend you bring your own safety glasses and hearing protection if possible. Maker Nexus will supply them for students who do not have their own.
