Turn a Snowman on Wood Lathe

Wooden ornaments are a great way to add rustic elegance to your holiday décor. This is a beginner-friendly lathe project that becomes charming gift or decorative piece to brighten up your holiday display.
You'll learn:

• How to prepare a wooden blank for turning
• How to develop a design for your snowman and translate it to the lathe
• How to shape your snowman with different types of lathe tools
• How to sand and finish your snowman

Dress Code

• Full length pants and closed-toed shoes
• Hair ties for longer hair
• No dangling jewelry or loose clothing

What to Bring

• We recommend you bring your own safety glasses and hearing protection if possible. Maker Nexus will supply them for students who do not have their own.
