Turkish Miniature Art Postcard Workshop

Don’t miss the beauty of Miniature Art, great experience of creating an art with micro details with Sema Yurtseven. Make a lovely ship, and Arnavutkoy Mansions in Istanbul.

This 2 – 2.5 hour workshop aims to introduce you Traditional Turkish Miniature Art and to enable you to create your own postcard through this art.

Our artist Sema Yurtseven has been doing illumination and miniature art for more than two decades. All artworks are her design. You will make either part of her whole artwork or reduced size. You can have more information about her in our website (www.traditionalturkisharts.co.uk) and see her selected artworks. She will be guide you throughout the workshop.

You will choose one of two artworks and draw onto your postcard using carbon paper. Then you will unleash your artistic taste and colour it as you wish!

During the workshop, you will complete one postcard. You may keep it or give them to your loved ones as presents! We will provide all the materials including 10 x 15 cm postcards.

To ensure that each participant has the opportunity to get the most out of the workshop, the number of participants is limited to 6. Please book in advance to avoid disappointment.

• Some micro details you see in the artwork may be removed for beginners.
• As the artist is Turkish, there will be a translator.
• You will use magnifying glass throughout the class.

• You do not have to bring any materials.
• We recommend you bring a folder to put your artwork.
