Workshop Description:Immerse yourself in a unique cultural experience that blends tradition, mysticism, and creativity. This workshop offers a deep dive into the enchanting world of Turkish coffee culture, fortune cup readings, and the art of painting evil eye rocks.
First Hour: Turkish Coffee Cup Readings
Begin your journey by learning the traditional method of brewing Turkish coffee, a practice rich in history and cultural significance. Once your coffee is brewed, you’ll delve into the
mystical art of “tasseography” – Turkish coffee cup fortune reading. Discover how to interpret the intricate patterns left by coffee grounds to gain insights and predictions about the future.
This ancient practice combines storytelling with a touch of mysticism and is a cherished tradition passed down from my great aunt, which I’ll be sharing with you.
Second Hour: Evil Eye Rock Painting
Next, unleash your creativity with our Evil Eye Rock Painting session. The evil eye, or “nazar,” is a powerful symbol believed to protect against bad luck and bring good fortune.
You’ll learn about the history and cultural significance of the evil eye, particularly in Turkey and the Middle East. Using vibrant, non-toxic acrylic pen paints, you’ll create your own beautifully painted evil eye rocks, perfect as a talisman or a thoughtful gift.
