Turf Paradise Welcomes College Football Fans As The National Thoroughbred League Debuts

As college football fans gather in the Phoenix area, Turf Paradise and the National Thoroughbred league are teaming up for a special day of horseracing on December 30th. Basketball great Julius Erving and a dynamic group of retired sports superstars including Boise State alums Austin Pettis, Shea McClellin and Alex Guerrero will be part of the festivities that will include a beer garden, a VIP buffet, marching bands, a delicious line up of food trucks, and much more.The event also features a full card of live, local horseracing, including several stakes races named after the teams selected for the upcoming college bowl game in the Valley.
Admission to the Beer Garden is $30 a person. The VIP Owners’ Experience is $125 a person.

The National Thoroughbred League’s championship will feature specific college football rooting sections, with price levels and experiences for all: from value-oriented fun in the rowdy beer garden, complete with DJs, bands, cheerleaders and food and drink specials, to the VIP Owners experience, where school alumni and boosters can mix with each other – and more than a dozen NFL legends, plus Philadelphia Stallions co-owner Dr. J – inside the Stadium Club at Turf Paradise.
In keeping with the college football theme. The grass in front of the tote board, adjacent to the Turf Course, will be painted “Bronco Blue” in honor of Boise State.
The indoor sections include a buffet with inspired creations from the chefs at Aioli Burgers, top-shelf drink options, and a perfect view of the track. It’s the place to be on Fiesta Bowl Eve.
Turf Paradise General Manager Vince Francia said, “The National Thoroughbred League and Turf Paradise are offering bowl attendees and college football fans all over the Valley the ultimate pre-game party. It’s like a giant tail gate party only with horses.”
