The crowd makes Turas as much as the music, and we at Pint Window want to give a special shout out to the massive support we’ve had from the Belfast crew travelling down to the Sound House. And so for the second Turas we were inspired to look north to Belfast and Phil Kieran.
Phil is a DJ, producer, remixer and composer of film scores, with this cinematic sensibility reflected in some of his most recent releases such as the instant club classic Escaped from New York (a Pint Window favourite). As a producer he has collaborated with David Holmes, Green Velvet, Speedy J and many more, and is a prolific remixer with credits including Depeche Mode, Nitzer Ebb and the late great Andrew Weatherall (check out his mix of The Aspodell’s Late Flowering Lust). Phil’s roots in Belfast run deep, having started out in the ’90s DJing at the Limelight and as a resident at Shine. He still puts on the retro-futuristic Leatherette nights in the Ulster Sports Club, bringing a wide range of great DJs to the city. Internationally he has played top clubs and festivals all over the world including Berghain and Tresor.
We asked Phil who he’d like to go B2B with at Turas, and his instant response was Roman Flügel.
Roman is a giant of electronic music, with a huge and varied back catalogue spanning four decades of techno, acid house, ambient/IDM, electro and everything in between. Releasing under many other monikers including Alter Ego, Acid Jesus, Sensorama, and Eight Miles High, and running the labels Playhouse and Klang, his influence across the German underground and internationally has been profound. He has played the best clubs in the world including Berghain in Berlin, Sub Club in Glasgow, Good Room in NYC, as well as blowing minds on the Saturday night at Convenanza last year. Phil and Roman are the perfect match for Turas, having recently worked in the studio together on new material – that’s a very exciting prospect to hear first in The Sound House in February 2026.
