Celebrate the summer season, and participate in a good cause with the Tunes for Trails, Perks for Parks free concert series.
July through September, join the fun from 6:30 to 9 p.m. on the third Thursday of the month at the Amphitheater at Philip S. Miller Park. While this is a free event, donations will be accepted for the Castle Rock Parks and Trails Foundation and profits from beverage sales at this event contribute to the fundraising efforts.
About the band:
Face is an internationally acclaimed all-vocal rock band from Boulder who have been captivating audiences for over two decades with their infectious energy punctuated by an endearing love of performance. “Blending modern popular tunes with complex harmonies, brilliant beat-box rhythms and superb singing … Face takes their audience on a musical journey and it’s fantastic fun.” (fringereview.co.uk)
Performing over 100 shows per year around the world, the band has also competed on the hit NBC series “The Sing-Off,” headlined at Edinburgh, Scotland’s prestigious festival fringe, and has been scheduled in front of legendary performers such as Jon Bon Jovi, Jay Leno, Manhattan Transfer, Culture Club & Boy George and Barenaked Ladies.
Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. The concert will begin at 6:30 p.m. Pack a picnic and enjoy some time with the family before the show. Food and alcohol will also be available for purchase. Note, no outside alcohol will be allowed.
Parking info:
Parking is Free! If parking is not available within the park, a parking crew member will direct you to overflow parking at BURLY Brewing Company at 680 Atchison Way #800. Shuttle from BURLY Brewing will run from 4:30 to 10:30 p.m. Wait near the TROLLEY STOP signs for a 5-minute ride to the venue. Download a parking map at CRgov.com/ConcertParking.
Weather:
The events are rain or shine. We work with Town safety personnel the afternoon of the event to make weather-related decisions in the case of severe weather. Any updates will be posted on this Facebook event.
