Children 15 and under, come get hooked with South Elgin Parks and Recreation Department at the 25th Annual Tuna Kahuna Fishing Contest on Saturday June 19, 2021 from 9-11am. Bonus! This is a free fishing weekend in Illinois. All ages can fish without a license!
Preregistration will guarantee you a spot in the fishing derby and a free 25th Anniversary Fishing Lure. The first 100 children registered will receive a lure. Onsite registration will begin at 8am, and first line to be thrown in at 9am. All participants must bring their own fishing equipment and be accompanied by an adult.
This year there will be a true Tuna Kahuna Champion where the biggest fish over all will take home the Tuna Kahuna Trophy and the grand prize. In addition, to add more fun to this event every child registered will receive a raffle ticket. Everyone will win something in the raffle and an overall raffle winner at the end of the event.
