Hailing from the United States, Sadness is one of the most distinctive and representative names in the contemporary Blackgaze / Post-Black Metal scene. Founded and operated as a solo project by multi-instrumentalist Dama, Sadness has built its reputation through an almost obsessive creative output and intensely personal sound, releasing multiple albums and EPs year after year. This relentless productivity has established Sadness as an irreplaceable presence in the underground extreme music scene, while leaving a profound influence on the evolution of Blackgaze, Skramz, and Emo-infused extreme music.
