About Tulsi!
Tulsi, aka Holy Basil, is sacred in India and can be referred to as “Queen of the Herbs” in Ayurvedic medicine. It is a naturally sweet adaptogenic herb in the mint family and is used in both spiritual and medicinal practices. Tulsi is one of the safest herbs and can be taken daily by most people.*
In western herbalism, Tulsi is considered to be a wonderful general tonic. It protects the heart from stress, lowers blood pressure and cholesterol levels, and stabilize his blood sugars levels. It reduces feelings of stress and reduces excessive immune responses and conditions like hayfever and asthma. At the same time, it enhances digestion, cerebral circulation, memory, concentration, and mental acuity. It also supports the immune system! (Source Book: The Modern Herbal Dispensatory by Thomas Easley and Steven Horne.)**
* Always check with your doctor before taking any type of herbal supplement.
