11:45-12:45- The Clash: Winning the Battle Between Classic Moved and Rock Music with Veronica Voss

A fun, music driven burlesque class that highlights how to marry classic bump and grind moves with punk rock and hard rock music. With a focus on musicality and how to pace a classic burlesque act to non-classic music.All levels. Wear clothing you feel comfortable moving in.

Ooh La Lana shape design and color shading to make your pasties POP onstage! Includes demonstration of fun shape base construction and color shading techniques and tips, supplies provided

11:15am-12:15pm Shimmy Biz with Ruby Champagne

Whether you’re a hobbyist, professional or not sure yet, we should all take some time to plan

our independent creative fate. We’ll discuss the business aspect of being a Burlesque

Performer. We are our own Managers/Entrepreneurs running our small business being a

Performer. We’ll review networking, marketing, and how to grow your brand, your business, as a

Burlesque Performer. This is a new brainchild so questions and lots of discussion are welcome!

Specifications

Networking - As a new or seasoned performer, tips/ideas to share to network & get booked.

Marketing - Like a small business owner, you need to share content and

Branding - Put yourself out there to get the gigs that align with your style.

Rates - Their budget, your rate -brief touch on being paid fairly.

Diversify - It’s not just about gigs. Consider multiple streams of income in addition to performing.

Balancing Shimmy Biz and Day Job - We’ll discuss space, grace, flexibility for those of us who

maintain a day job in addition to working on our Shimmy Biz.
