These old stone, rustic , long lived vessels are perfect for succulent, alpine or for small plants that may otherwise get lost in a garden.

Part One: Build & Shape

Saturday, August 1st 3:00-4:00 pm

In Part One, you’ll learn the construction process of a durable outdoor vessel designed for succulent gardens. Guided by skilled professional Ernie Whiteford and assisted by Monica Phelan, you’ll select your mold, and build your trough from start to finish in just 60 minutes. All materials are provided, and troughs cure for seven days between sessions.

Part Two: Finish & Plant

Saturday, August 8th 3:00-4:00 pm

Part Two is all about refining and transforming. You’ll remove your cured trough from its mold, polish and prepare it for planting, add drainage holes and ensure it’s garden-ready. Then personalize your vessel with a selection of succulent plants and container shapes to suit your style. Meet fellow plant lovers, swap tips, and create a stunning garden piece you’ll cherish for years.
