Synopsis: A strong, independent and anarchist woman full of humor sets out to protect her piece of land against all odds. Initially fighting off developers, Natalia's struggle becomes even more existential with Russia's attack on Ukraine. The film is a portrait of a woman who never gives up and brings to the viewers a sense of hope.

Синопсис: 67-річна Наталія народилася і виросла на Позняках ще до того, як цей район щільно забудували багатоповерхівками. Приватний сектор з одноповерховими сільськими будинками вже давно майже зник, але вона вперто продовжує жити у своїй хатині з садом, оточеній висотками. Девелопери борються за цей шматок землі і пропонують Наталії великі гроші, але вона – смілива, сильна й усміхнена – захищає свій оазис в «ямі», своїх кіз, курей та інше господарство. І цей зв’язок із землею та небажання коритись тільки укріплюється з початком повномасштабного вторгнення.

This year, TUFF funds will support CUF’s Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal, launched in 2022 to provide aid to war-affected Ukrainians, including displaced persons in Europe and Canada.

This year's program features award-winning films from Cannes, TIFF, and major international festivals, alongside the inaugural short film section programmed by Nataliya Bek-Gergard.
