ABOUT THE FEATURED POETS: Sushanth Shyamsundar
Sushanth Shyamsundar is a Chennai-based poet and writer whose work moves between humour, grief, queerness, family, loneliness, horror, and the strange negotiations of everyday life. His poetry is often conversational, irreverent and deeply personal, interested in the things people are told not to say and the identities that refuse to stay neatly labelled. He is the author of the self-published collection The Opposite of You, The Beginning of Me, and his work has appeared or is forthcoming in over 30 literary journals and anthologies. He also performs occasionally as Rakshasan, his masked poetic alter ego, though at the heart of both voices is the same interest: saying the uncomfortable thing out loud and seeing what happens next.
