ABOUT THE FEATURED POETS: Nia Joseph
"In poetry, we name the visceral with a careful layering of word upon word until we capture that which cannot be seen. Like every other hunter of the spoken word, I know that poetry will remain ever-elusive, forever the smallest and quietest deer in the forest." ~ Nia Joseph is an Indian Poet who deep-dives into the emotional, physical and spiritual impacts of trauma. She also explores themes around love, loss, grief and finding solace. She has published a children's book - an illustrated poem called 'How To Save a Whale' in 2021 and is currently working on her first novel and a collection of poetry.
