Transport & Address:

We will be working at Funges Meadow. We will meet on site at 10:00am and finish at approximately 15:00. We will meet at the gated entrance on Bowden Lane. There isn't much parking available on Bowden Lane, and residents may get upset if you park there. There is free parking on Keep Hill Road, or paid parking is available at the Rye. The nearest postcode is: HP11 1DL.

The Task:

Come along for a busy and rewarding day! We will be digging trenches and lining out tree whips ready for planting next year. The trees will need to have woodchip placed at the base to prevent weeds and we will also be collecting up the flints to create a habitat pile near the pond.

What to Bring:

Please bring your gloves (we will have spares) and dress for the weather and the task - long trousers are advisable as there is thorny vegetation. Please bring a packed lunch and plenty of fluids!

We will be bringing a tea kit and biscuits.

Hand washing facilities will be available.

Volunteering and COVID-19 Government Guidance:

We strongly advise that participants take a lateral flow test before attending the session, particularly if you are using the minibus.

We will continue to follow our on site COVID-19 Safe procedures when you come outside to volunteer with us, As government guidance is changing so rapidly, please check the latest government guidance before you come. Please do not come if:

a. You have tested positive for COVID-19 and are self-isolating

b. You have COVID symptoms e.g. a new continuous cough, a high temperature, a loss of, or change in your normal sense of taste or smell

c. If you live in the same household as someone with COVID-19

and: Please check the latest guidance as to whether it is appropriate for you to volunteer if you are in the clinically vulnerable or extremely clinically vulnerable categories.
