Tuesday Night Metals Open Studio

This fall, join us for five Tuesday evening Open Studio sessions in the Metals Studio. Sign up for one, or sign up for all five.

Time: 6pm-9pm

Pricing: Individual sessions are $35. Register for all 5 sessions for $135.

Materials: Open Studio includes use of all of the tools and equipment in the Metals Studio. Open Studio also includes use of flux, pickle, and liver of sulfur. Open Studio renters must provide their own metal, solder, and saw blades. Some basic supplies can be purchased at Contemporary Craft.

• Solder packets (6" each of easy, medium, and hard solder) - $5
• Pack of 12 saw blades - $5
• 3" x 3" sheet of copper sheet - $3
• 6" x 6" piece of copper sheet - $10

Enamel: If you would like to use the enameling kilns and CC's enamels during Open Studio time, there is an additional $20 fee per session. You can pay this fee when you register and we will have the kilns heated up and ready to go for the evening.

Procedure: When you arrive for Open Studio, please check in at the Program Office on the first floor to sign-in on the clipboard inside the door. When you are done in the studio, please sign out on the clipboard in the Program Office.

Safety: By visiting Contemporary Craft, you acknowledge that risk of communicable illness exists in any and all public spaces as a force of nature, and that Contemporary Craft assumes no responsibility for any claims which may arise.

Other Guidelines

• Closed toe shoes are required in the Metals and Wood Studios
• Hair must be pulled back in Metals and Wood Studios
• Specific work spaces are not guaranteed in any of the Studios. They are first come, first served.
• Please use headphones when listening to music and take all calls outside
• Lockers are available to long term renters in the Metals Studio on a first come, first served basis.
• All studio tools and equipment that are used must be placed into designated bins to be disinfected by CC staff prior to being put away
• All personal tools, equipment, and materials must be cleaned up and taken with you (or put in your locker in the Metals Studio) at the end of each work session
• Studio rental is for independent work. CC staff is here to assist with tools and equipment, but not to provide instruction.
