About this Event
Tuesday Groundings: Floating On the Ganges
A Sitar Soundscape
This Tuesday Groundings offering is a more relaxed, musically led listening experience—centered on live sitar by Miles, with singing bowls and grounding sound woven in by Adele of ChoZin Healing.
Rather than a heavily facilitated soundbath, this evening invites deep, reflective listening in a casual and flexible container. You’re welcome to sit, lie down, or move gently as the sound unfolds. The intention is presence, curiosity, and letting the music speak for itself.
Miles brings a rich, expressive sitar practice rooted in musicianship and improvisation. Adele curates and co-creates the experience, contributing bowls and subtle instrumentation to support grounding, texture, and spaciousness.
This is an offering for those who enjoy:
- Live music as meditation
- Fewer words, more sound
- A softer structure with room to feel and listen
- Being held in a thoughtfully curated environment
Tuesday Groundings is a series hosted and curated by Adele of ChoZin Healing at Atelier Pasadena, made possible through the generosity of the space. Each gathering is an exploration of sound, presence, and connection, shaped by the artists involved.
Come as you are. Listen deeply. Stay curious.

About Miles of Turiya Sitar
A Sonic Shelter from the Modern World
Miles is a Los Angeles–based sitarist offering immersive, meditative sound experiences rooted in North Indian classical music. For the past five years, he has studied under internationally touring sitarist Rajib Karmakar, whose mentorship has guided Miles in developing his voice within this tradition.
Inspired by masters such as Pandit Ravi Shankar, Nikhil Banerjee, and Ali Akbar Khan, Miles approaches the sitar as both a classical instrument and a vessel for deep listening and inner spaciousness. His performances range from intimate acoustic settings to ambient, electrified soundscapes, creating a spacious and reflective listening experience for soundbaths, yoga classes, and private gatherings throughout the Los Angeles area.
