Tubac Hawk Watch 2024 - Celebrating Arizona's Hawk Migration
March 1st - 31st
3 Great Ways to Enjoy!
Free Admission and Free Parking!
In March, a special event takes place over Tubac. Many species of hawks including Common Black, Zone-tailed, and Gray migrate north along the Santa Cruz River to the delight of birders from near and far. Over half of these southern hawks enter the United States through our valley, many roosting in our cottonwoods overnight before continuing their journey. Tubac is said to be the easiest & most likely place to see these species, and many more! March 2024 will be the 12th year that Peter Collins will count the hawks over Ron Morriss County Park. Join us in March 2024 for this wonderful event.
