2023 is the Lunar New Year of the Rabbit!
March with us in rabbit costume and come celebrate Fat Tuesday by joining in the fun of Portland's own Mardi Gras Parade- produced by the Mysti Krewe of Nimbus.

This is an evening, family friendly event, so don't forget to add lights to your costume, You could also add a decorated lantern, fan or parasol.
This is a walking parade, feel free to bring decorated wagons, ride bicycles or push carts. Kids welcome!
TTCG will be supplying several hundred beads for our group to hand out to spectators, but consider making and bringing your own "throws", such as seed packets (popular last year!) or other trinkets. Feel free to DIY (recycle and reuse) your own special bunny themed stickers, pins, felties, stuffies, etc.
BTW: Throws are handed out to spectators along the route- not actually thrown.
The parade will take place on Tuesday (Fat Tuesday) February 21, 2023. Check in is between 6:00 and 6:30 PM and the parade starts promptly at 7:00. It travels the length of Mississippi Avenue, starting at the corner of N Albina and Humboldt, and goes just short of 1 mile to end at N Cook and Mississippi.
There are after parties at the bars and restaurants on N. Mississippi Ave after the parade! Details to come.

The Portland Mardi Gras Ball
takes place February 18th at the Wonder Ballroom. Theme for that event is "Cirque de Krewe" - so think Vintage circus. Note other costumes, and dressing in the traditional Mardi Gras colors of gold, purple and green are also welcome!
