Fellow students and friends,The moment we have all been waiting for is finally here! After last year’s successful event, the highly anticipated University Rowing Competition is back - bigger and better than ever before! Get ready to kick off the summer in true URC fashion as eleven top university teams row head-to-head on May 24th at 16:30 at Hietalahden ranta in Töölö, Helsinki.
We at HankInvest have decided to form two teams and partner up with BCG and HLP, and are now looking to recruit some eager rowers! The teams will consist of 11-13 students and 2-4 company representatives, and we are aiming for a 50/50 split between males and females, which means that the best performing male and female rowers will make the team. We don’t care if you have previous rowing experience as we are merely looking to have a great time with a fun and energetic team??!
We will be arranging our yearly tryouts on the 7th of May, where the 2024 teams will be chosen. The tryouts will be organized from 12:00 to 13:00 at Hanken's foajé, in a relaxed setting, and the required output from each participant is minimal. Only half a minute at the rowing machine is required per contestant.
All of us in HankInvest are super excited for the competition and hope to see many of you on the 7th so that we can assemble the best teams possible and bring the trophy back to Hanken where it belongs?!
