Try Three Crafts Chicago: A Beginner Creative Sampler

Try Three Crafts Chicago
Want to try something creative without signing up for a multi-week class?
This beginner-friendly afternoon workshop gives you the chance to explore three simple craft activities in one hosted session.
You will rotate through three prepared tables, spend about 25 minutes at each activity, and get clear instructions and support from the workshop team.
No previous craft experience is required.
The goal is not to master a new skill in one afternoon.
It is simply to try a few creative activities, see what you enjoy, and spend time making alongside other beginners.
Three Craft Rounds
Every participant completes the same three workshop rounds.
Activities are announced on the event page before registration closes so attendees know what materials and activities are included.
For this edition:
Paper Folding
Learn a few beginner folding techniques and complete a small paper project.
Hand Lettering
Practice basic lettering strokes and create a simple finished card.
Creative Collage
Combine paper, texture, shape, and composition into a small take-home piece.
How the afternoon works
You'll begin at an assigned table.
After each 25-minute round, the host will signal a short transition and groups will move to the next activity.
All guests complete all three activities.
There is no competition, prize drawing, random winner, raffle, or sweepstakes.
Beginner friendly
Each activity includes:
- simple visual instructions;
- prepared examples;
- basic materials;
- help from event staff.
This is a live, facilitated workshop rather than a self-guided or digital-only activity.
That distinction matters because Eventbrite requires events to have a defined date/time/place and meaningful live human facilitation. eventbrite.com
Who it's for
This edition is designed for adults age 18+.
Solo guests and friends are welcome.
No artistic or craft experience is required.
What you'll make
Each participant can take home the completed paper, lettering, and collage pieces created during the session.
Tools and reusable studio equipment remain with the workshop.
Social format
You'll work beside a small group of other participants during each activity.
Conversation is welcome, but this is not a dating event, recruiting event, sales presentation, or formal networking program.
