Try Sled Hockey!

Looking for a fun and exciting winter activity? Come out and play some hockey. The Indy Steel sled program offers recreational and competitive hockey opportunities.

Sled Hockey is for children and adults with physical disabilities.  During this event, instruction is provided and participants will be able to spend time getting comfortable on a "sled" that you sit on and use two mini hockey sticks to push yourself around and handle the puck. There will be plenty of fun for everyone and thre is no cost or committment to continue playing.

If players have limited upper body strength or mobility, players are pushed around the ice.

The schedule for the day:

4:00pm  Check-in and equipment fitting

4:30 pm- 6:00pm Try Hockey

All equipment will be provided including protective equipment, sled, and sticks.  

For those who enjoy the experience and wish to continue playing, the Indy Steel practices throughout the winter months. There is a recreational program for those who simply want to come and play. For players looking for a more competitve experience the Indy Steel includes youth and adult travel teams.
