Focusing on active truth telling and accurate representation of First Peoples, this year’s Wurrdha Marra Annual Conversation invites leading First Nations artists to discuss their vital work reclaiming archives and reframing historical narratives in the context of their contemporary art practice.
Hosted by Professor Lisa Slade, the Hugh Ramsay Chair of Australian Art History at the University of Melbourne, the conversation will highlight contemporary art as a powerful and empowering vehicle through which to reclaim the archive.
