Our next date for your calendars. Playing the songs you remember clubbing to back when you didn’t need a weeks rest afterwards!
WHAT?
We decided to bring you a new alternative club night, with the songs you remember dancing to before your knees developed opinions on the subject. Playing rock, goth, EBM, punk, industrial, and alternative tunes from the 80s, 90s, 00s, and beyond, with bands ranging from Apoptygma Berzerk to Zodiac Mindwarp. This is a safe space - discriminatory behaviour will result in removal from the event.
WHO?
Kat, Jaye, and Landmine have been involved in The 80s Night in Whitby for over fifteen years, with many more years of club and event DJing between us.
WHERE?
Trust Your DJ takes place at Whitby Friendship A.R.C., behind the red door on Church Street. It's a Challenge 25 venue, so please bring photo ID if you think it's remotely possible you might need it. There is a small stone step at the door, but beyond that the venue has level access. Please contact us with any access queries.
WHEN?
The red door opens at 7pm, and the night ends at 11pm. The venue has seating, but it does get snapped up quickly by the early attendees.
HOW?
Pay £8 on the door, cash or card. We reserve the right to refuse admission. If in doubt as to what to wear, black's fine. Or pale black, if the t-shirt has been through an extra decade of wash cycles.

We've been running The 80s Night for over fifteen years now, and wanted a chance to play the rest of the stuff in our CD cases that we've played at other nights. If you were alternative clubbing in the 90s or 00s, or would have enjoyed it if you had been, then it could be the night for you.
