When they helped inaugurate Concerts On The Creek with his 2014 performance, Truman's Ridge had already established themselves as the Chicago area's premier bluegrass band. Ten years later they are going strong, playing a long string of concerts, festivals, and fairs. Over the years, a tradition has developed: Truman's Ridge plays the Saturday before Memorial weekend to launch our summer hours. Our Saturday concerts move from afternoon to evening, and pizza returns as well. Learn more about the band at https://www.facebook.com/TrumansRidge/ . Doors open at 6pm and the concert runs from 7pm to about 9pm. Pizza by the slice, bottled soft beverages, and prepackaged snacks will be available at 6:15pm and, if inventory remains, during intermission. There is no admission charge, but goodwill donations from the audience pay the musicians and help to defray the church's event hosting costs. Attendance is limited to 150. Those who wish guaranteed seating regardless of what time they arrive may make an early donation in the form of a minimum $5 non-refundable 'earnest money' ticket at https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/ticketing/b76eb899-10f8-4348-899a-5a97798b4488. 'Tipping' the band at digital checkout is encourage, as is making an additional donation in person on concert night. A total donation of $10 per person is encouraged, but all amounts are appreciated. We offer free off-street parking for 95 vehicles and our all-on-one-floor listening area is easily accessible; acoustics are excellent.
