Truman Davis shouldn’t be here...This summer, the Valley High School student collapsed in his house. EMS workers performed CPR on him to keep him alive as they rushed him to MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center. That’s when doctors discovered Truman’s organs were shutting down due to a ruptured spleen.
MercyOne surgeons and lifesaving blood kept him alive. His doctors call him a “miracle patient.”
He received over 100 blood products from LifeServe Blood Center, and now he and his family want to give back by hosting Truman’s Miracle Drive.
