Join us this July & August for our Summer 2026 Sermon Series by Pastor Kurt Mews: Truly My Disciples — The 8 Marks of Jesus’ Disciples.
Each week, we will explore what it means to faithfully follow Jesus and live as His disciples in our daily lives.
Weekly Sermon Topics:
Week 1 — Humility: Deny Self and Follow
A disciple willingly takes up their cross, putting Christ’s kingdom priorities above their own selfish desires.
Based on Romans 7:14–25
Week 2 — In the Word: Engage with Scripture
Disciples sharpen their minds and guide their actions by studying the Bible, allowing God’s Word to transform their lives.
Based on Isaiah 55:10–13
Week 3 — Obedient: Obey His Commands
True followers demonstrate their love for Jesus by keeping His teachings, most notably loving God and loving others as themselves.
Based on Psalm 119:57–64
Week 4 — Selfless: Serve Sacrificially
A disciple serves with a selfless heart, placing the needs of others before their own out of love for Christ.
Based on Deuteronomy 7:6–9
Week 5 — Prayerful: Develop a Prayer Life
A disciple stays close to the Father through regular, intentional prayer, bringing every need and burden to Him.
Based on Matthew 14:13–21
Week 6 — Discipleship: Display Christ-Like Character
A disciple grows to reflect the heart of Christ, showing humility, compassion, and faithfulness in everyday life.
Based on Matthew 14:22–23
Week 7 — Engaged: Engage in Community
A disciple lives in fellowship with others, growing stronger through encouragement, support, and shared faith.
Based on Matthew 15:21–28
Week 8 — Multipliers: Make Other Disciples
A disciple invests in others, helping them grow in faith so the work of Christ continues to multiply.
