We are excited to honor an incredible child advocate in our community Stephanie Toothaker at our annual TruHearts event presented by Lago Mar Beach Resort & Club. The event will take place at Casa Tabebuia on Thursday, April 20, 2023. Proceeds will benefit the Heart Gallery of Broward County, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the adoption and enrichment of Broward's foster children.While this event is invite-only, we do have some sponsorships remaining which include tickets to this special evening. The Heart Gallery of Broward County is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that seeks to find families for foster children who are available for adoption. The Heart Gallery represents hard-to-place children who are searching for their forever home. On any given day, over 60 children in Broward County are waiting to find their forever home. On average, these children wait over two years before being matched with their forever family. We are changing this one child at a time. We work closely with ChildNet and the local foster care providers to seek adoptive families and other connections for these children.
