Fun, Cowboy Challenge-Style Half-Day Friendly Obstacle Training Competition.
These are half day sessions, not full day.
Horses to have a short rest back at horsebox between sessions (no day pens).
Sessions will be outdoors, in the case of bad weather it may be moved indoors..
Our Cowboy Challenge style obstacle course is a mix of exercises designed to test the trust between horse and rider/handler. You will navigate a series of challenges—from polework footwork, obstacle drags, gate openings to bridges, catwalks, raised platforms, pedestals, a rolling bridge, and see-saw balancing. The course also features weaving through cones, barrel pushes, pool noodle sections, cowboy curtains, and a flag carrying task, along with change-of-pace exercises, one-handed rein exercises, rein backs, water tray, tarps, and podium steps for climbing up and down. Each exercise is designed to build agility, balance, and communication in a fun, friendly horsemanship challenge.
Timetable:
Group 1 Morning Session: 10 AM - 1:00
Group 2 Afternoon Session: 1:30 PM - 4:30 PM
Participants: 6-8 people (split into 2 smaller groups for training session)
Cost: £50pp
Horses:
Age 4+, mixture of in hand and ridden (but can be done in hand only)
Horses need to be fairly confident and have some previous experience with obstacles.
First-timers need to book onto our regular group session clinic before attending this session.

Morning Session (Group 1 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM)
10:00 AM - 11:30 AM – Group 1 Training Session
11:30 AM - 12:00 PM – Rest/Free to walk the course unmounted
12:00 PM - 12:45 PM – Friendly competition course and rosettes to finish
• A fun, low-pressure challenge combining all obstacles from the first session, testing horse and rider's versatility, trust, and problem-solving. Riders can skip obstacles as needed—just a chance to put everything together in a friendly competition but in a relaxed environment.
1:00PM Finish
Afternoon Session (Group 2 1:30 PM - 4:30 PM)
1:30 PM - 3:00 PM – Group 2 Training Session
3:00 PM - 3:30 PM – Free to walk the course unmounted
3:30 PM - 4:15 PM – Friendly competition course and rosettes to finish

(Not affiliated with any organisation—just a fun obstacle session! No prizes but rosettes for all attending.)

Places strictly on a first come first serve basis only and non refundable payment prior required due to arena hire and limited places.
Please bring your own lunge/long line for in hand and riding hats must be worn in all sessions.
Horses must be up to date with annual vaccinations.
Information will be emailed nearer the time once bookings are in.
If sessions are smaller in numbers due to bookings, then they may be subject to being slightly shorter duration if less people in the group.
