2026 TRUE GRIT EXPERIENCE
We heard your feedback, Laramie County!
We know many of you work during the day, so we have shifted the 2026 True Grit Experience to the evenings to better fit your busy schedules. Instead of a single full-day session, the program will now be held over two consecutive weeknight evenings.
• Wednesday, July 8th & Thursday, July 9th
• 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM each evening
We will be reaching out to you that have already signed up.

Have you ever wondered what it's really like behind the scenes at the Laramie County Sheriff's Office?
The Laramie County Sheriff's Office is excited to announce that registration is now open for the 2026 True Grit Experience! This unique program gives community members an inside look at law enforcement operations and the opportunity to experience some of the challenges and responsibilities our deputies face every day.
To better accommodate participants we are offering two identical sessions for Laramie County residents including the incorporated city and town locations.
Participants only need to attend one of the following dates:
• Wednesday, July 8th & Thursday, July 9th
• 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM each evening
Participants will:
🔹 Tour the Laramie County Detention Center
🔹 Receive briefings on current Sheriff's Office initiatives
🔹 Watch a K9 demonstration
🔹 Participate in hands-on police tactics activities
🔹 Learn how the Sheriff's Office serves and protects our community
This experience is designed to strengthen community relationships, increase transparency, and provide a firsthand look at the realities of law enforcement.

⚠️ Please note: All participants will be required to complete a background and screening process prior to attendance to ensure the safety and security of all attendees. You will receive confirmation of registration prior to arrival.
