'Trout Fishing in America' Songwriting Workshop

At this one-of-kind workshop with Keith Grimwood and Ezra Idlet, the duo will not only share their unique techniques, strategies, and methodology for writing songs, but will guide attendees through the creation of their own original song, teaching basic songwriting steps like brainstorming topics, developing storylines, finding rhymes, and building self-esteem by turning everyday ideas into music.

ABOUT TROUT FISHING IN AMERICA

Keith Grimwood and Ezra Idlet have been friends and songwriting partners for nearly 50 years and have performed in all 50 states, parts of Canada, and Europe at just about every kind of venue you can imagine. Their unique style features an eclectic mix of folk, folk-rock, and family music, blending elements of blues, jazz, country, reggae, Latin, and bluegrass. A band of stunning contrasts, they may be the only musical act who has opened for Bob Dylan and Barney the purple dinosaur. Their solid musicianship, relatable lyrics, and unique stage presence unite crowds of all ages in the shared experience of live music.

AFTER THE WORKSHOP

Trout Fishing in America will perform a FREE concert FOR ALL AGES from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at League Park located at 512 2nd Street in League City. Be sure to bring your lawn chair or blanket. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.
