This learning event is worth 14 PDHs

Course Overview:

This comprehensive training course is designed to provide participants with a strong understanding of electro-hydraulic systems, including troubleshooting techniques for common issues encountered in industrial and mobile applications. Through a structured curriculum, attendees will learn about fundamental hydro-mechanical concepts, actuators, feedback sensors, pumps, directional valves, valve amplifiers, and advanced troubleshooting methods. The course also covers electrical and hydraulic schematics, fault identification, and an introduction to Controller Area Networks (CAN).

Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand and apply fundamental hydro-mechanical concepts such as force-pressure and velocity-flow relationships.
  • Identify and troubleshoot common issues with actuators, sensors, pumps, and directional valves.
  • Interpret and analyze hydraulic and electrical schematics for diagnostic purposes.
  • Utilize troubleshooting techniques to differentiate between mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.
  • Evaluate error codes and assess system failures effectively.
  • Understand the operation of valve amplifiers and their role in electro-hydraulic control systems.
  • Gain insights into Controller Area Networks (CAN) and their applications in electro-hydraulic systems.
