Headliner: Shernelle ‘Skarpyon’ Williams - Singer, Song-writer, Composer & Entertainer

SVG Cultural Ambassador Skarpyon is a Ragga Soca Artist hailed from the beautiful island of

St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG), Yurumein/Hairouna – the Land of the Blessed.

Skarpyon has been singing for most of his life and has carved a niche for himself in the music industry, becoming SVG’s finest Ragga Soca Artist. Equipped with a smooth, melodic and infectious voice he is indeed a true emblem of the art form. Skarpyon‘s first major public performance was during his elementary years participating in the junior Calypso Monarch competition. He was noticed by the then organizer of the National Youth band and was invited to become the very first lead vocalist. Affording him the opportunity to develop and refine his innate skills as an outstanding entertainer.

Skarpyon has performed throughout the Caribbean, Canada, the United Kingdom and in the United States. He has an amazing catalog of top, Ragga Soca songs; Look’N Fine, Turn your Lights Down Low, leave me alone, Hammer N Conchs, Real Steel, Rum Do Dat and Big Road are just a handful, all written by the Stingah man himself. Skarpyon also entered the Vincy Mas National Calypso Monarchy Competition arena with his song ‘Until’ and was awarded Calypso Monarchy. “Never Forget” was a patriotic song urging all to “Never Forget their roots”. The video went on to win the best video of the year.

2019 saw Skarpyon releasing both a track and video for that year's bagger ‘RUM DO DAT’ which is still making waves. In 2022 we saw big releases from Contagious to the ladies’ favourite Real Steel, Hold It and the people’s choice BIG ROAD. Skarpyon even released a video for the track Big Road that has YouTube viewers in a frenzy.

Skarpyon not only pens every one of his songs, but he also writes for other artists competing in the Junior and Senior Calypso competitions.

Apart from singing/writing and composing music, Skarpyon has added merchandise to his brand. Presently, he has two of his popular hits: “Rum Do Dat” & “Big Road”.

Coming off his 2022 Hit, ‘Big Road’, Skarpyon just released his 2023 Ragga Soca Project for Vincy Mas where he gives us two tracks, Dilute It and Not Today. “Dilute it” – depicts how sweet our Caribbean Women are and “Not Today” speaks about the things affecting us when trying to have a good time! Both songs represent the vibez of the people in and out of the party. Also, in 2023 in honour of International Women’s Day, Skarpyon released ‘No Need To’, a message to end violence against women.

You can catch up with Skarpyon on his Social Media Platforms; IG, FB, & TikTok; his music is trending on most musical platforms: YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Music.

Skarpyon will be launching his website and fan Club soon. So, make sure you stay connected with him to find out what the ‘Stingahman’ is up to or even book him to make your next event epic!
