For the first time World Pride is to be held in the Southern Hemisphere and Tropical Fruits are asking you to come along and add a touch of fruity love to our parade crew!Sydney will not only be hosting its first World Pride but also be celebrating the 45th anniversary of the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.
Our parade float is called 'Lovemore' and we'll be bringing our wild fierce hearts and immense community pride to the world stage. Following catastrophic bushfires and floods, the heart symbol has become a prolific symbol of hope and resilience in the Northern Rivers. Community members lovingly make heart banners from old sheets and scraps to offer encouragement to others and to show that they’re not alone. What an incredible opportunity to show your solidarity with flood affected communities throughout NSW.
Tropical Fruits welcomes you to experience the colour and glamor and add our own magic to our parade entry. Parade is Saturday 25 th February 2023! Everyone is welcome to join us in the parade, from locals to members and our friends from Sydney.
