?FIRES
Forestry SA has kindly allowed us to allocate a set number of campfires for our races.
Please request allocation by filling out the form (link available on our website) this does not automatically allow you to have a fire, confirmation will be emailed to applicants.
We ask that you please request only one fire per your camping group so everyone gets a chance.
Firepits must be no greater than 1 meter squared, off the ground and a 4m area around and above must be clear of flammable material.
BYO Firepit.
Chainsaws MUST not be used in forestry areas, but you can collect any fallen timber from around the campsite or bring your own.
Please be understanding and fair so everyone gets the opportunity to sit around a nice warm fire ?
⛔FENCED YARDS
With the increasing use of fenced yards at races, the SASDC Committee would like to ask those using them to follow some guidelines to ensure they do not become an issue at events.
- Be considerate about the amount of area your fence takes up.
- Fences are to be set back from common pathways, (not border a thoroughfare to and from the start and finish)
- Ideally your fence should be on the forest side of your vehicle or back into the forest.
- Dogs should never be left unattended in the fenced area.
- If your dog/s escape or jump out of the fenced area committee may request that your fence is not used for the remainder of the weekend.
- Fences with power to them must display a notice that it is electrified.
Also - dogs should not be left for long periods unsupervised on stakeout lines, please ensure they are well secured and safe.
