Tromsø World is proud to present the mesmerizing Ko Shin Moon, a boundary-defying duo from France known for blending psychedelia, folk traditions, and analog electronics into a sound that feels both ancient and futuristic.
Armed with synths, saz, oud, drum machines, and field recordings, Ko Shin Moon draws from a vast universe of influences — from Middle Eastern melodies to South Asian rhythms and Balkan grooves — reimagined through a kaleidoscopic electronic lens. Their live shows are immersive, hypnotic experiences where dancefloor energy meets deep musical storytelling.
With critically acclaimed releases on their own label Akuphone, Ko Shin Moon has become a cult favorite among lovers of global psychedelia and experimental club music. This is their first performance in Tromsø, and a rare chance to experience their sonic universe live.
Before Ko Shin Moon takes the stage, we’re proud to present Mosaicpotamia, the project of Tromsø-based multi-instrumentalist Mazlum Karataş and Ottar Tollefsen, whose music is a journey through time, culture, and sound.
The name Mosaicpotamia fuses the idea of a mosaic—many pieces forming a unified whole—with the deep cultural heritage of Mesopotamia. This project is the culmination of Mazlum’s artistic path, blending electronic music with the ancient sounds of Mesopotamia and Anatolia, while weaving in poetry and theatrical expression. Expect a soulful, genre-defying performance that explores identity, tradition, and transformation—an intimate yet expansive soundscape to open the night.
