Born Troy Andrews, Trombone Shorty got his start earlier than most: at four, he made his first appearance at Jazz Fest performing with Bo Diddley; at six, he was leading his own brass band; and by his teenage years, he was hired by Lenny Kravitz to join his Electric Church World Tour. Shorty’s proven he’s more than just a horn player, though. Trombone Shorty, de son vrai nom Troy Andrews, a débuté dans le métier très jeune : à quatre ans, il se produit aux côtés de Bo Diddley; deux ans plus tard, il crée sa propre fanfare. À l’adolescence, Lenny Kravitz lui demande de participer à sa tournée mondiale Electric Church. Trombone Shorty a prouvé qu’il est bien plus qu’un simple joueur de cor.
