About this Event
Bring your books and biomes trivia knowledge to this exciting, outdoor event at our local cinema! The evening of November 3rd we will host a trivia night for Heartland families to show off their studying skills. Literature, science, socializing...and MORE! After tickets close, I will share out a study guide to work on before the big night.
Seating is not provided, so you will need to bring your own chairs.
No outside drinks or food allowed (bottled water okay). The concession stands will be open, so out of pocket food purchases are encouraged to support our theater. After trivia, we are invited to stick around for a special community showing of How To Train Your Dragon projected outside. It may get chilly, so remember to dress for the occasion and maybe a blanket or two. **Check-in is at 5:40-5:55pm. Please do not be late, as our attendees must arrive before trivia starts and then the event will be closed. No admittance after 6pm will be allowed.**
Please choose the FREE PAID WITH FUNDS ticket option to reserve any ticket that you would like to pay for with your student's planning amount. Once registration closes the teacher leading the field trip will reach out with instructions on how to place an order in Procurify.
We encourage you to turn in a sample that is linked to the field trip that you attended during your next learning period. It helps to ensure that we can continue to provide these trips and their educational value.
Heartland field trips are designed for families to attend together. Students need to be accompanied by an adult chaperone. If your student will be attending with another family, please indicate this when you register your student and let the field trip host know once you complete your registration.
**To ensure the health and safety of all attendees, please do not attend a field trip if you, your student(s), or anyone in your household is ill or showing possible signs of illness.**

Refunds will not be given for any reason. As a courtesy, if you are sick or unable to attend a field trip, please contact the teacher that planned the event to let them know so they do not wait at the venue for you. You may not send a different family in your place as we will not have a waiver for them.
May I pay using my student's planning amount? Yes! You can pay for your student's ticket and one chaperone ticket with your student's planning amount. You will need to choose the free Heartland Student ticket or the free Chaperone ticket option. (One chaperone ticket per family per field trip may be purchased with student planning amounts.) Once registration closes the teacher planning this field trip will reach out with instructions on how to place an order in Procurify. Funds will be deducted when your order is approved. Your spot on this field trip will not be confirmed until you have placed your order in Procurify when instructed to do so.
Whenever possible we will list the option of paying out of pocket for field trips by using a credit card through Eventbrite. Any additional adults and/or non-Heartland enrolled students will need to use this option when purchasing tickets. (Eventbrite charges a small fee in order to offer this service.)
Does this trip have any height, weight, and/or age restrictions? All ages are welcome but everyone needs a ticket. This includes babies and toddlers. I would like to encourage families with younger students to abide by a 2:1 ratio, for safety at night. However, if families have older students, I believe a 3:1 or 4:1 ratio is acceptable.
What are the check-in procedures? Please check-in with Johnell Schooley between 5:40-5:55 pm. We will start promptly at 6 pm. Be sure to arrive in time to set up your chairs and settle before the trivia begins
Is there on-site parking available? Parking is free. Please find a spot in the main parking lot between Beansters and Rigecrest Cinemas.
Can we pack snacks or lunch for this event or field trip? No outside food or drink allowed, besides bottled water. However, out of pocket purchases at the theater concession stand is available.
*Heartland does not provide transportation for any of our field trips.
