Awkward Giraffe's Festival of Critical Comedy is proud to present the funniest mathematician in Melbourne and very possibly the world. Tristan explains:
Propositional connectives, such as negation ('not'), disjunction ('or') and conjunction ('and'), can be used to form compound propositions out of component propositions. Some sets of connectives have the property of functional completeness, meaning that using connectives in that set, it is possible to write down a sentence equivalent to any sentence that can be constructed with any connectives whatsoever. In this comedy performance, I explain this concept, and show that certain particular sets of connectives have this property of functional completeness.
To find out why this is funny come to the show! All part of Awkward Giraffe's Festival of Critical Comedy. It is free entry this year but donations are very welcome. If it hadn't been free it would have been $30 for the afternoon or $15 concession.
Come and stay for the whole day, or both days, there will be many fine acts. Exact times may change.
Food and drink available on site, wheelchair accessible.
