10PM: Athens, Ga's works with a speed and urgency of a young band but with a sense of lyrical wisdom and musical breadth of a much more seasoned group. With all the forcefulness and immediacy of of 21st century power pop, classically aggressive post punk, and even sections of '70s glam, Heffner's brand of pop is still expansive enough to include occasional sections of remarkably tender sentiments lain against thoughtfully pastoral backgrounds. Now barely two years old, five-piece Heffner doesn't wear its influences on its sleeve but subsumes them into its DNA. Nothing about Heffner is obvious but, by the same turn, there's a familiarity in the band's work that speaks the common language of rock fans in this new, tumultuous age. Now on the cusp of releasing its debut self-titled album, Heffner is the result of the security of old friendships and the experience of previous bands, the push and pull of life and work, and a sense of being that gives way to wonder. As touring for the new album gets underway, and word-of-mouth spreads the news of its release, Heffner is committed to continuing the work that is steadily giving them a leg up one step at a time as they, too, begin to take their seat at the table.

9PM: is best known for Bowie-levels of style variation. Since forming in 2012, the group’s sound has run the gamut from alt-country to metalcore to hiphop, and this diverse pallet has led to past collaborations with indie favorite Faye Webster, as well as rapper and Awful records founder Father. It has also won the band opening slots for everything from Reel Big Fish to Dem Franchize Boyz. Wieuca sees themselves as part of the first generation that grew up on mp3’s, where for the first time, every kid was able to be exposed to every genre at a young age. Wieuca’s music reflects that, and they sometimes wonder why every band hasn’t gone that route by now. I guess it hasn’t made them famous yet, so that’s probably why. Anyway, Burning Platform is a good album and contains enough styles that you’re sure to love something in it, and by the same token, hate something else in it.

8PM: is a three-piece indie rock band from Athens, Georgia who weave together unorthodox styles to create music that dips between the conscious and subconscious. Their upcoming album "Ghost Party" is set to release winter of 2022.

It was only a couple months after the release of Monsoon's debut album “Ride A’Rolla,” that the band garnered the attention of Toyota and were contacted about using the title track for a commercial. From there, the placement landed a spot just after the 2016 Super Bowl half-time show and the band was invited to participate in the world’s first “360 multi-cam music video” launched by Google. Between the reach of the placements and touring, Monsoon gained a small cult-like following along the East Coast. “I had no idea something of this magnitude could happen at such an early stage in our career. It’s the kind of thing you hope for, but don’t ordinarily see from a band that’s just starting out.”

Post Super Bowl, both members of Monsoon [Sienna Chandler and Joey Kegel] went their separate ways before reuniting to create Ghost Party.“I think we were the youngest group ever to say ‘we’re gettin’ the band back together.”

Ghost Party is the soul creation of Joey and myself. We are every voice and every instrument on the album. Joey mixed the songs, co-produced the harmonies, and engineered many of the sections on the record. I wrote and arranged the songs, produced harmony sections, and am in charge of creating our music videos- writing, directing, editing footage, SFX makeup, everything except holding the actual camera. We’ve become incredibly selective about who we involve in our lives both personally and professionally. Ride A’Rolla caught us off guard because we were young and unable to see red flags as they arose. It was an incredibly difficult lesson, but ultimately, an invaluable one that needed to be learned so that moving forward we would become the unbreakable extension of one another that we are now. We’re so fortunate to have found our bassist Roan O’Reilly. Before his addition to the band we were certain we’d be a two piece, but his quick wit and talent won our hearts. He immediately fell in and was ready to work, and has proven to be an irreplaceable member to our team.

Ghost Party is a standalone album entirely different from its predecessor. It's every fiber of Joey and myself and we hope you enjoy it.
