The TRIO Opportunity Walk is a one-mile walk through the Mall of America designed to raise awareness of TRIO programs and celebrate their transformative impact on students and communities across the Midwest. This fun, high-energy event brings together students, staff, alumni, and supporters to take visible steps toward equity in education.
Through themed stations, engaging activities, and community participation, the walk highlights the challenges TRIO students overcome and the opportunities they seize with the support of these vital programs.
Whether you're walking, sponsoring a stop, or cheering us on, your participation helps amplify the message: TRIO works—and it changes lives. Walk for opportunity. Walk for equity. Walk with TRIO!
All are welcome. TRIO alumni and students are especially encouraged to attend!

8:00-9:00 AM - TRIO Opportunity Walk
9:00-9:30 - Celebration in the Rotunda
Highlights Include:
• Music provided by DJ Kenny D
• Fun and interactive stations, including TRIO Trivia Wheel, a photobooth, and more!
• Fun giveaways and prizes
• TRIO buttons available (suggested donation of $3)
